More about Midgard
Midgard Licht – founded in 1919 by Curt Fischer – inventor of adjustable light – still produces its luminaire series on original tools exclusively in Germany. Midgard lamps convince with high quality, functionality, sustainability and design and already inspired architects like Walter Gropius, who used Midgard luminaires numerous times in the Bauhaus and in his projects.
For all products, corresponding lighting data can also be provided in order to be able to integrate the Midgard luminaires into simulations.
Midgard luminaires were and are used in many office, hotel and residential projects. The quality in combination with the individualization and connectivity are the main features. Luminaires from the Midgard collection can be easily integrated into projects, e.g. with office adapters (also wireless) on desks or in joinery installations and can be customized in sizes and colors.
Midgard MODULAR is based on the iconic design of TYPE 113, which was used to furnish many rooms in the Bauhaus. Midgard developed this design further during the 1920s into a lighting system that meets all lighting needs.
Available as table, office, floor and wall lamps. Different arm lengths, as well as a choice of joint and lamp color, allow for custom configurations. The patented shades allow 360 degree rotation, and the patented joints allow for a maintenance free lamp.
AYNO – Midgard’s lighting family by designer Stefan Diez is testing the boundaries between origin and status quo of directable light. Radically reduced to the essentials, AYNO meets all the requirements of design, technology and sustainability. The patented design by Stefan Diez is winner of the German Federal Award EcoDesign as well as the German Sustainability Award in Design. Minimalist, adjustable and versatile. The AYNO family of luminaires is a modern interpretation of classic Bauhaus design and perfectly illuminates any situation.
The stepless dimmer and the finely adjustable lampshade guarantee glare-free light. The LED unit is available in three light colors 2700K/3000K/4000K and can be easily replaced without tools.
The Midgard K830 and K831 series follow very rare and distinctive designs from the early 1930s. These functionally unique lamps feature a swiveling lampshade – the simplest and most beautiful way to adjust light.
The K830 wand features a generous projection and versatile adjustability. The luminaire’s freely adjustable arms allow for flexible alignment. A special feature is the infinitely variable height adjustment by means of textile cable slidable in the tube and a counterweight to the lamp head.
The K831 pendant lamp can be customized in carefully curated color variants for shades and textile cable. There is also the possibility here if necessary to define your own RAL tone for the shade.
The spring-balanced lamps are the archetype among desk lamps – the German original from the 1950s. In its quality incomparable, available in classic black or white, equipped with black textile cable.
